Grading Information
There will be three exams during the semester and
a final exam for this course. In addition to these
tests, there will be 4 surprise quizzes during the
semester and a laboratory section
that meets every week.

The following is a list of points for the class
Total possible points = 315.
Each surprise quiz is worth 10 points, and the lowest score
will be dropped. There will be no makeup for the surprise
quizzes under any circumstances.
Grading Scale
This year, there is a fixed scale for grades. I may
adjust downward if the tests are unusually difficult.
I will not adjust them upward.
I expect about half the students in this class to get
A's or B's. I also expect about 10 or 15 percent of the
students to fail.
